Chung Chen Sun, academician and grandmaster in Chinese art, gave a demonstration of the way he paints as did his equally accomplished friend, Li Qi-Mao of Taiwan.
South Korea’s Jang Soon-Up, well known for whimsical re-creations of folk traditions and Minhwa art; and our own batik-painting pioneer Datuk Chuah Thean Teng. His three artist children – Siew Teng, Seow Keng and Siew Kek
Veteran painter/printmaker/sculptor Lee Kian Seng to show off his groundbreaking creations as well as six sets of 1988 Lotus prints of six each
Choong Kam Kow, the 72-year-old president of the Malaysian Institute of Art, evoked Shaolin inner healing stances in his acrylic/serigraphy (silk-screen printing).
Enrique Wong Diaz’ Insomnio.Artists Cheah Yew Saik, Tew Nai Tong, Cheah Thien Soong (remember his painting transfers on Jindezhen pottery?), Lim Ka Seng, Koay Soo Kau, Sia Boon Chuan, former commando Abdul Ghani Ahmad, Low Kong Wen, Yong Khek Cheong and sculptor Heng Eow Lin showed off the experience of their years in their own inimitable ways.
